Short Description

HercRentals Cash Application Clerk will play a critical role in applying daily Cash Receipts to customer invoices via manual entry. The ideal candidate should be a team player and willing to embrace change in an ever-evolving and challenging business climate. This position requires a solid understanding of Accounts Receivables (AR) process flow, principles and processes. Attention to detail, ability to work independently and productively are essential in this role


Apply customer cash receipts daily via lockbox, ACH, Wire Transfer, and Credit Card transactions.

Correspond directly with customers and collection teams regarding insufficient and/or inaccurate remittance information.

Perform daily reconciliation of all cash received into banks to cash posted in the AR financial system, and resolve variances.

Research and reduce unidentified and unapplied cash.

Utilize appropriate judgment in discerning current cash application procedures to assess and revise inefficiencies of current procedures.

Collaborate with customers and internal business partners to achieve improvement in application of cash.

Perform all Cash Application functions accurately, timely and with a sense of urgency.
